'improper lookout' ticket
replace Brett's lost wedding ring
all in 1 month. lovely. I wish me and Brett had money, to celebrate our 1 year anniversary. It might just have to be a picnic and a redbox.
I need a GOOD job, with GOOD, CLASSY people.

HUGE pine cone!
We climbed up TONS of rocks to get to this point!
After Yosemite, we went to Port Hueneme where Grandma & Grandpa VanWagoner live. Grandpa took us out on his boat, and we saw HUNDREDS of dolphins. They were everywhere. Grandpa said he's never seen that many in all of his years.

We left early the next day for Boron California. It is one of those small towns where everybody knows everybody. We got to visit with the cousins, and go swimming at the high school. After, we went through Bakersfield and made a stop a Dewar's Ice cream and Fine Candies. I was planning on buying some AMAZING peanut butter taffy they make, but didn't know it was going to be so expensive. It's probably better for my body anyways. Next stop, Porterville to stay with Grandma and Grandpa Irish. They have a VERY fun pool that we could not stay out of!
The next morning, we woke up at 6am to go on a long bike ride. This is a new hobby I'm trying to pick up. I've only been 3 times. and man....my butt is SORE!!! Hopefully I get used to it soon. Brett, Dean, and Shad obviously are a bit more in shape than me, so they went a little further while I stayed behind and sat around by Success Lake, (not knowing I would be sitting there for 2 hours until they returned.) I was sitting on a rock wall, and under me is a little gutter thing. I jumped down, being bored, looked in the gutter, and saw this.......
SO CUTE AND SAD. Tiny little orange kitten, in this filthy gutter, filled with cobwebs and garbage. I know I probably shouldn't have touched her...but staring at her long enough, I couldn't help myself. I brushed her off, and held her the entire time. I named her Nala. (Many years ago, I had an orange cat named Simba) She clearly had no mama cat taking care of her, and I very badly wanted to take her back to a pound or something else besides a gutter. Brett finally came back, I let go of Nala for a minute, and she ran back to her gutter, and went so deep into it, I couldn't reach her. And we had to make our way back to the house. I had to leave her. I hope someone else finds her and keeps her safe.
Dean and Shad BOTH had flat tires, so they had to fix those. We all got going down the hill, and they were way further ahead than me and Brett, then Brett got a flat tire. And he didn't have anything to fix it with. He called Dean, and they went back to the house first to just get the car to come save us. So we waited on the side of the road for maybe 20 minutes. but it felt like hours!!! It was so hot. Here is me being miserable.
At this point, I didn't care that there was dirt on my clothes or in my hair. Now we're in Fresno at Grandpa Sommerville's house. Brett has a HUGE family. I'm still meeting people that I've never met before, and I've been around for about 5 years! It's also cool that I'm visiting all these cities I've never been to.
I'll update more from the trip soon!
Here is a cute picture of my nieces...just because I love them.

That night, we met the Thurgoods at the park to go on rides and watch fireworks! (Megan, I need those pictures) It was SO much fun! until Brett got sick....we went on one of those rides that goes in really fast circles...I was sitting next to Brett, his eyes were closed, and he just couldn't take it....I tried my best to talk him through it, telling him to breathe... but he was seconds away from passing out. So I leaned over the edge of the ride, waved my arms, and yelled at the guy to stop! It went around a few more times when it finally came to a stop. We walked to a place that wasn't too crowded so Brett could lay down....and he layed down for the next 45 minutes or so. Poor Brett. He's getting old and has developed motion sickness. Luckily, I haven't hit that stage yet....i really liked that ride, haha.
Toy Story 3 was amazing. Couldn't have been better. I'm so happy that Andy played with the toys at the end of the movie. Perfect ending. That's one of those movies that I HAVE to buy. I hate spending money on movies....but Disney movies are my weak spot. I will MAKE my kids watch all of them. Just like I did when I was growing up.

Working with the Census is great. Easy money. Calling people that get super mad at us calling is getting kinda old though...hello, we're trying to make this country better for YOU, the census has been happening every 10 years since the beginning of time, so please be nice and just give us the correct answers to the questions we ask. okay.
The finale to Lost was amazing. Me and Brett bought Lost shirts to wear on the finale day. We're obsessed. One day, we'll watch all of the episodes again, but we need to give our eyes a break from it for a while.
Brett got a job with our good friend Tyler, at an insurance company. He's got NORMAL work hours, lucky duck. I'm hoping to find a full time job soon with normal hours and benefits.
The Bachelorette just started! I can't believe i'm watching it, but after seeing Alli on the Bachelor last season, I can't help it. Here are the guys she picked, in order of my favorites, to least favorites.
1 - Roberto
2 - Frank
3 - Chris H
4 - Ty
5 - Jesse
6 - Chris L
7 - Kirk
8 - Hunter
9 - Kasey
10 - Justin
11 - Chris N
12 - Tyler V
This is Kyle, he was my number 4, until he got booted. He was awesome. He's killed a bear. Not that that's a good thing, poor bear, but I like that he's a mountain man.
Sarah, twin, you better be watching it this season so I can have somebody to talk to about all of it. Brett's not watching it, he doesn't wanna get addicted to another show, which is probably the right decision.

Well, I was watching the Tyra show yesterday, (I Love Tyra) and lucky me, she talked about cellulite....my enemy. She was advertising the Nivea Good-bye Cellulite, and no, I don't believe it works, but she did so good advertising it, I went and bought it anyway. Haha. And then I got onto Nivea.com and joined the Good-bye Cellulite, Hello Bikini Challenge.
It's a 4 week plan, with meals and workouts planned out for you each day. I really would love to do this...but let's be honest. I never stick to my workout plans. P90X lasted for what, a week?
But I just might do some of those workouts and cook some of those meals.
And I don't know how they decide who wins this challenge, but the winner gets a free trip for 2 to L.A., spa services, and $500. I'm not expecting to win any prize, but that's pretty awesome, and worth joining just for that small chance.
And I got a coupon for $2 off!

Last night was the banquet for the athletic teams at Casper college. All of the athletes got to go for free, and anyone extra was $25 each. I at first didn't want to go, cuz I'm cheap. But Brett convinced me to come along. I'm SO glad I did!!!
Each athlete, (especially the sophomore's) were recognized for their accomplishments this year.
There is an award that is given called the Mr. T-Bird award. It's not given out every year, only when the booster club thinks that an athlete really deserves it. 2 of our favorite people in Casper gave out the award, Doc & Rose Eddy. As they started talking about the award, I was thinking in my head, 'wow, that'd be amazing if Brett got this'. Then they started to describe the athlete.
This is what they mentioned:
*This years winner was one of 4 captains.
*He has a 4.0 grade point average.
*He was Academic All-Conference, Academic All-Region, and will likely be named Academic All-American.
*He was a team leader, and his leadership helped us surpass the single season highest win total in 14 years.
*He always has a smile and a handshake for everyone.
*The say success can't be felt without pain and sacrifice, well this guy definitely dealt with both! He made the ultimate sacrifice, his health. He battled everyday this year after suffering a knee injury last October. He could've easily cashed in, but instead, put the team first.
By this time, I was positive it was Brett, haha. And with a standing ovation, Brett crutched up there to get his award.
I am a proud wifey!
And a prime example why Brett hates blogs!

I'm hoping tho that they let me have some days off....because Brett's tournament is this weekend through Tuesday, (if they make it to the end). AND, spring break is next week, and we wanted to go home for that....freak. Back to the life of having a job. haha. I was so used to doing what i wanted whenever i wanted.
ALSO, i got a call from a lady about a job for this summer in Salt Lake! Hopefully I get it!!!!
Man, today has been a great day!
Blessings blessings blessings!
Utah was great! It was nice to see mountains again, seriously, I'm pretty sure that is my absolute favorite thing about Utah.
Leanna's bridal shower was amazing! it was so nice to see my mg's again. I will need them for my entire life.
Saturday was nice to get things done! (or...it was nice of my dad to do lots of things for me...haha.) And to have a yummy dinner from mom for Alexis' birthday. And baby kyle is SO CUTE! I'll post some pictures i took of him asap.
Our internet doesn't work anymore...we were using our neighbors, but they moved yesterday...so now, I'll either be spending a LOT of time at McDonald's, (closest nearby free internet), or at the college library.

Sarah...i wish you were coming. leave illinois. tell nathan that you can't live unless it's in utah. (haha, even tho i don't live there at the moment)
I also finally get to see my nephew baby kyle!!! and take pictures of him!
Brett is very jealous that I'm coming to Utah. There is a light that is right by our street, and we never pass it unless we are on our way to Utah. So as we were turning at that light today, Brett said, "you get to go beyond this light tomorrow", hahaha. I wish he was coming with me, but he has a game.
Casper College is the Sub-region champions! Brett's last game here was Tuesday night. He's happy, because he wants to get surgery asap so his knee can start feeling better, but I'm not happy, cuz it might be the last time he plays basketball! And I love watching him. but we've at least got a couple more games in the region tournament, so hopefully that goes well!!

Brett was on the road, so Friday, I went to see the Valentine's day movie with a couple of new friends I have made. I loved it. Taylor Swift was not bad at all! Me and Brett wish people would stop ganging up on her. Seriously. get off her.
Saturday, I went shopping, then hung out with the Davidson's and watched the Olympics. Brett didn't get home til about 1:15 Sunday morning, and by then, it was snowing horribly! good thing the team got home safe!
I made yummy Cheese Cake tarts Sunday, and took them to church for all of the Young Women....let's just say, they were a huge hit, and they all want the recipe. Good job mom for cutting that recipe out of the newspaper years ago! (and oh yeah, i don't think I've mentioned on here that I'm Beehive Advisor..)
Today, me and Brett went to the Casper Rec Center and worked out, while watching Rachael Ray on the tv's, (one of the many shows I love). Then we watched some Olympics, then went to see Valentine's Day again, and then watched the BACHELOR! HELLO! There is no way Jake will pick Vienna. there's no way. He'd be absolutely crazy. So we definitely know that it is Tenley who is his future fiance.
I've been scrapbooking like crazy the past few days! Trying to finish my MG scrapbook. It's all over the living room....Brett doesn't like it too much... I've seriously trashed the place! haha, i need a little table for myself.
For people that are obsessed with LOST, read this.
The past episode, 'What Kate Does'. Towards the end, there is a scene with claire holding the picture of her sonogram, right before the police come in. and that is the SAME DAY that their flight landed on 9-22-2004. Look at the date on the sonogram....it says 10-22-2004. But their flight was a month before that! WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

I love that entire wolfpack. They seem way more chill to hangout with than creepy, serious faced vampires.
The whole Volturi thing was kinda weird, but that's okay...the awesomeness of the wolves made up for it.
I can't wait for it to come out on dvd.
